Dragon Boat racing will debut in Memphis on September 24, 2011. Expected to feature at least 30 corporate and community teams, the inaugural Duncan-Williams Dragon Boat Races will grow to become a Memphis favorite!
On race day, corporate and community teams race for glory and prizes, while land activities include cultural festivities, music, food, kid’s fun and learning area. The most fun, unique cultural event featuring adrenaline-pumping action, dragon boat racing grows in world-wide popularity each year. Teams rave about the excitement, friendly competition and community spirit surrounding the sport. Teams wear their dragon apparel and cheer throughout – this is their day and they enjoy it to the fullest extent!
